dexi is a personal assistant you reach in your everyday messaging apps. It works on your behalf across the tools you connect — like Gmail and Google Calendar — to handle email, scheduling, and the busywork. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
Who we are
This policy applies to the dexi service, including dexi-ai.com and the dexi assistant you message. If you have any questions, contact us at privacy@dexi-ai.com.
Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and basic profile so we can create and secure your dexi account.
Google Workspace data you connect
With your permission, dexi accesses the Google services you choose to connect — such as Gmail and Google Calendar — so it can do the work you ask of it. We only request the access dexi needs to function; see Google user data and Limited Use below for the exact scopes and why.
Messaging information
Because dexi lives in your messages, we process your phone number and the content of the messages you exchange with dexi to understand and carry out your requests.
Usage information
We collect basic technical and usage data (like device type, log data, and how you interact with dexi) to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How we use your information
- To provide dexi and carry out the tasks you ask it to perform.
- To personalize dexi to your people, preferences, and tone.
- To secure your account and prevent abuse.
- To support you and respond to your requests.
- To maintain and improve the features you use.
Google user data and Limited Use
dexi's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The Google scopes dexi may request, and why:

| Google Calendar events (modify) | View and edit events on calendars you can access. Dexi requires your explicit approval before it creates an event and does not request the broader permission to manage calendars or sharing. |
In keeping with the Limited Use requirements, we commit that:
- We only use Google Workspace data to provide and improve the user-facing features of dexi that you actively use.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising of any kind.
- We do not use your Gmail or other Google Workspace content to train generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models.
- We do not transfer this data to others except as needed to provide or improve dexi, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with appropriate notice.
- We do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you give explicit consent (for example, to resolve a support issue), it is necessary for security or to comply with the law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf to run dexi: AI model providers that generate dexi's responses, our messaging provider that connects dexi to iMessage and SMS, and our hosting and infrastructure providers. These providers are bound by contract to use your data only to provide services to us — not to train their own generalized models on it.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
- Business transfers, if dexi is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice consistent with this policy.
Data retention and deletion
You are in control. You can disconnect Google, pause dexi, or ask us to delete what dexi knows at any time — by texting dexi, or by emailing privacy@dexi-ai.com. When you disconnect an account or ask for deletion, we revoke our access tokens and delete the associated data within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with the law. You can also revoke dexi's access to your Google Account directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How we protect your information
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit access to it.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email privacy@dexi-ai.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Children
dexi is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
