dexi is a personal assistant you reach in your everyday messaging apps. It works on your behalf across the tools you connect — like Gmail, Google Calendar, and Slack — to handle email, scheduling, workplace context, and the busywork. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it in plain language on purpose.

Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and basic profile so we can create and secure your dexi account.
Google Workspace data you connect
With your permission, dexi accesses the Google services you choose to connect — such as Gmail and Google Calendar — so it can do the work you ask of it. We only request the access dexi needs to function; see Google user data and Limited Use below for the exact scopes and why.
Messaging information
Because dexi lives in your messages, we process your phone number and the content of the messages you exchange with dexi to understand and carry out your requests.
Slack data you connect
If you connect Slack, dexi receives the identity of the workspace and Slack member you authorize, a bounded recent set of messages and threads that member can already access, and messages you send directly to the Dexi Slack app or explicitly mention it in. Dexi uses this data to answer your requests with workplace context and to reply as the Dexi bot. It does not listen to ordinary ambient channel traffic.
Usage information
We collect basic technical and usage data (like device type, log data, and how you interact with dexi) to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Optional website analytics
Website analytics is off until you choose “Accept analytics.” If you accept, dexi uses random first-party identifiers to count tracked visits, sessions, pageviews, selected signup actions, and creator-link attribution. These identifiers are not your account ID, email, phone number, or IP address. We do not use fingerprinting, advertising tracking, or session replay.
You can decline non-essential analytics or change your choice through the “Analytics choices” link in the site footer. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals keep analytics off. Raw analytics events are retained for up to 90 days; aggregate reporting may be retained for up to 730 days. Internal, preview, automated-test, known bot, and link-preview traffic is excluded from shared website metrics.
How we use your information
- To provide dexi and carry out the tasks you ask it to perform.
- To personalize dexi to your people, preferences, and tone.
- To secure your account and prevent abuse.
- To support you and respond to your requests.
- To maintain and improve the features you use.
Google user data and Limited Use
dexi's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The Google scopes dexi may request, and why:

In keeping with the Limited Use requirements, we commit that:
- We only use Google Workspace data to provide and improve the user-facing features of dexi that you actively use.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising of any kind.
- We do not use your Gmail or other Google Workspace content to train generalized or non-personalized AI/ML models.
- We do not transfer this data to others except as needed to provide or improve dexi, to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with appropriate notice.
- We do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you give explicit consent (for example, to resolve a support issue), it is necessary for security or to comply with the law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
Slack user data
When you authorize Slack, dexi uses the minimum Slack data needed for the assistant features you choose:

We do not sell Slack data, use it for advertising, or use Slack message content to train generalized or non-personalized AI models. AI model providers process relevant content only to fulfill your request under contractual data-use restrictions.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf to run dexi: AI model providers that generate dexi's responses, messaging infrastructure that routes conversations through Apple Messages and carrier networks, and our hosting and infrastructure providers. These providers are bound by contract to use your data only to provide services to us — not to train their own generalized models on it.
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
- Business transfers, if dexi is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice consistent with this policy.
Data retention and deletion
You are in control. You can disconnect Google or Slack, pause dexi, or ask us to delete what dexi knows at any time — by texting dexi, or by emailing zacharylukavsky3@gmail.com. When you disconnect an account, uninstall the Slack app, or ask for deletion, we revoke or remove our access tokens and delete the associated data within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with the law. You can also revoke dexi's access to your Google Account directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How we protect your information
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit access to it.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email zacharylukavsky3@gmail.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Children
dexi is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
